Nidhivan, the sacred forest in Vrindavan, is shrouded in mystery and devotion. It is believed that Krishna performs His eternal Ras Leela here every night.

The Mystery

Nidhivan is unlike any other place in Braj. The trees here are twisted and intertwined, believed to be the gopis who participate in the divine dance. After evening aarti, no one is allowed to stay inside the forest.

Krishna and Radha perform Ras Leela every night
The trees transform into gopis after sunset
Anyone who stays after dark loses their senses
The priests leave prasad for the night
By morning, the prasad is found consumed
Birds and animals leave the forest at night

Location

Nidhivan is located in the heart of Vrindavan, near the Banke Bihari Temple. It's easily accessible by rickshaw from any part of the town.
